WorkTalk — Privacy policy

WorkTalk ("the app") is made by Little Magic. This policy explains what the app does with information.

What we collect

WorkTalk has no accounts. It never asks for your name, phone number, email address or location.

When you first open the app, it makes a random ID on your phone (an anonymous device ID). When you are online, the app sends to our server, together with that ID:

• what you do in the course: lessons finished, review cards, days in a row, badges, Shift Test scores and which answers were right or wrong, shares (which channel only), offline downloads;
• the app's language, your chosen job, the app and content version, and your phone's time.

We use this only to understand how learners progress and to make the course better. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it to track you across other apps or websites.

Your voice

"Tap to speak" and the speaking parts of Shift Tests use your phone's own speech recognition service. On iPhone, and on most Android phones, it runs on the phone. On some Android phones without an offline English model, the phone's speech service (for example Google's) may process what you say online, under that service's own privacy policy. WorkTalk itself does not record, store or send your voice. You can say no to the microphone; the app still works.

On your phone only

Your progress, settings, the nickname you may type on a share card, and downloaded lessons stay on your phone. Deleting the app deletes them.

Notifications

The daily reminder is a notification scheduled on your phone. It is off until you turn it on.

Sharing

When you share, the app opens the app you choose (LINE, WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger) with a message and a link. What happens next is covered by that app's privacy policy.

Where data is stored

Course data is stored with our database provider, Supabase, and lesson files are served from Cloudflare. Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS).

Children

WorkTalk is made for adult workers and is not directed at children.

How long we keep data

We keep course data until you ask us to delete it. Deleting the app removes what is on your phone, but not the course data on our server; to delete that, email us (below).

Deleting your data

Email hello@littlemagic.app and we will delete the course data linked to your device ID.
